A

Netteller is a free service for customers of the Putnam County National Bank. It provides the convenience of viewing your bank accounts from any computer with internet access, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. In addition you can:

  • Check account balances
  • View current transactions
  • View up to the last three months of bank statements
  • View images of checks and deposits
  • Transfer funds between accounts
  • Stop payment on checks
  • Send and receive secure messages to Putnam County National Bank

What is NetTeller Bill Pay?

A

NetTeller Bill Pay is a separate feature you can choose that will allow you to conveniently pay your bills without having to write a check. NetTeller Bill Pay is also a free service to our customers. Using NetTeller Bill Pay you can:

  • Schedule future payments for bills
  • View your bill payment history

How do I sign up for NetTeller and NetTeller Bill Pay?

To sign up for NetTeller please stop in at any of our six locations and complete an Application and sign the Agreement. We will process your application and get your User ID and Password to you right away. You should receive your NetTeller User ID by mail within 2 -3 business days. You will have the option to sign up for just NetTeller or NetTeller and NetTeller Bill Pay together.

State-of-the-art technology is used to keep your information secure. All sensitive and personal information is encrypted and access requires passwords that only you know. You can pay anyone in the United States from the next door neighbor, to the utility company, to the bank, and even a child in college across the country.

Are there any merchants that I cannot pay through NetTeller Bill Pay?

Q

Are there any merchants that I cannot pay through NetTeller Bill Pay?

A

No. Any merchant that is on the electronic payee database can go electronically. If a merchant is not on the list you may send the payment as a check. Make sure you enter your merchant account number exactly the way it appears on your bill. If you choose a merchant on the electronic database that requires an address match, choose the correct remittance address listed on your bill.

Can I have bills paid from my savings account?

Can I have bills paid from my savings account?

A

No. You can only use your checking and NOW accounts to pay bills. However, you can transfer funds from your savings or Money Market account to your bill pay account through the transfer feature of NetTeller. By federal regulation, your savings and Money Market accounts are classified as non-transactional accounts and you are limited to six transfers per month. (Please see your Truth-in-Savings disclosure or call the bank at 845-225-3688 for more information.)

Who do I contact if I have a problem or question with Internet banking?

If you have a problem or question please call 845-225-3688 and ask for NetTeller help. You can send a secure message to the Putnam County National Bank through the "contact us" option in NetTeller. You can also send an email to customersupport@pcnb.biz but always remember that email sent over the Internet may not be transmitted in an encrypted or secure form. Caution is urged in the use of confidential information.

Payments are processed Monday through Friday at 3:00 am and 1:00 pm EST. Any payments added, edited, or deleted up to that time will be processed the same day.

Payment history for active and deleted payees is retained and viewable for 18 months.

You may schedule payments up to 90 days in advance of the due date of the first payment. Recurring payments can have an end date of any year in the future.

Electronic payments will be deducted from your checking account on the date you request payment to be made. Check payments will be deducted from your account when the actual check is processed by the payee.

No, you will have to set up a new payee with the correct address and delete the old one.

Under "Add New Payee", you can search the electronic payee list to see if your payee is contained in the electronic list. If your payee is not in this list, the payment will be made by check.

Yes, you can set up recurring payments using the following frequencies:

  • One-time
  • Weekly
  • Bi-weekly
  • Semi-monthly
  • Monthly
  • Quarterly
  • Annually

Will the Payee Alias or memo field that I fill out when setting up a payment be passed on to the payee?

Will the Payee Alias or memo field that I fill out when setting up a payment be passed on to the payee?

A

No, the payee Alias field and memo fields are for your personal records. However, the account number that you entered when you added the payee to your Personal Payee List is printed on the check. This allows the payee to know to which account to apply the payment.

How far in advance should I set up a payment to insure it is paid on time?

A

Check payments entered before 3:00am or 1:00pm EST Monday through Friday, are printed and mailed the same day, but sufficient time must be allowed for the post office to deliver the check. Please allow 5-7 days for check payments to reach the payee, 2-5 business days for electronic payments.
*IMPORTANT NOTE* We cannot be held responsible for the amount of time it takes the postal service to deliver a check.
