|| Online Security
Security is a primary concern with Internet Banking. Putnam County National Bank realizes and appreciates the trust and confidence you have placed in us. We have worked diligently with our online banking provider, NetTeller, to assure that your privacy is safeguarded and your internet banking experience is safe and secure.
We will assign each customer a private password generated by Putnam County National Bank for their initial log-in to the online system. In order for each customer to have an entirely private password, the system will force each customer to change their password after their first log-in. NetTeller passwords are alpha-numeric and must be 6 characters in length. We encourage our customers to select passwords that are not easy to guess or easily recognized identifications.
Password Security System
It is very important that ONLY YOU know your Username and Password. This is the only way your account may be accessed. Three (3) unsuccessful attempts will lock out the User from accessing their account. If a user becomes locked out, they must call Putnam County National Bank at (845)225-3688.
Pseudo Names Used
In order to allow account access, a "Pseudo Name" (nickname) is used in place of an account number to maximize the protection of your internet banking experience. If you rename your accounts on NetTeller, we recommend you do not change it to your actual account number.
If you are logged on but do not perform an activity for 10 minutes, you will not be able to proceed until you log back in.
In order to make your online banking experience as secure as possible, we are using a security feature that detects any uncharacteristic or unusual behavior involving your account. MFA monitors for unusual activity and will verify your identity with challenge questions that you have set up. We also use a watermark feature that confirms you have logged into the authentic NetTeller site. If you log into your account using a different computer, MFA will request that you verify your identity.
For additional information on this security feature please call 845-225-3688 and ask for Internet banking support.
To ensure optimal security and access to all features in our online banking product, we
recommend using one of the browsers supported by NetTeller. Click here for the list of supported browsers.
